Southern California Topography

Content

This page lets you click on a certain region on the world map and download a Fledermaus 'sd' data object. Please see the SRTM30_PLUS website on the Satellite Geodesy site for exact information on how the SRTM1 and SRTM3 data was created. There are two interactive maps below displaying the Southern Californian region. The first map (A) links to 1-arcsecond resolution 'SonarDTM' sd files (file names end in '.sd'). The second map (B) links to 3-arcsecond resolution 'SonarDTM' sd files (file names end in '_SRTM3.sd'). You can use the free viewer program iView3d or Fledermaus to view these 3D visual objects. These visual objects were created as part of the OptIPuter project and are hosted on the OptIPuter storage cluster.
