The High Performance Wireless Research and Education Network (HPWREN http://hpwren.ucsd.edu) captured images of the Cedar fire in October 2003 in near-real time. Multiple cameras were pointed at the fire to understand how it progressed and the images captured were very useful in the aerial attack carried out by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF). We have created a single movie that shows time-synchronized multiple views of the fires. The movie is narrated by CDF fire captain Rob Serabia (now retired) who supervised part of the operations to contain the wildfires.
