Bridget Konter gave a talk about incorporating multimedia, Internet resources, large-scale seismic data, and 3-D Visualizations into innovative activities and research projects for today's high school students at the AGU Fall Meeting.

This highlighted the work the Visualization Center has done for the Earthscope project.
Instilling the idea of remote communication and distance learning, science teacher and curriculum development specialist Julie Humphrey engaged her students at Ada Harris Elementary School in a remote videoconference with Dr. Helen Fricker (SIO). The topic of discussion was glaciology of ice shelves. Dr. Frickers answered multiple questions from the eager students about her work on the Amery Ice Shelf in Antarctica.
