Instilling the idea of remote communication and distance learning, science teacher and curriculum development specialist Julie Humphrey engaged her students at Ada Harris Elementary School in a remote videoconference with Dr. Helen Fricker (SIO). The topic of discussion was glaciology of ice shelves. Dr. Frickers answered multiple questions from the eager students about her work on the Amery Ice Shelf in Antarctica.
