Mogul Swarm, Nevada

Since 28 February 2008, there have been more than 1000 small earthquakes near Mogul, Nevada. This swarm of earthquakes is represented as colorful diamonds, where the colors represent different depths. This scene file also includes GPS vectors (blue arrows) indicating the direction and magnitude of surface movement, earthquake locations, including those from the EarthScope USArray catalog and also those from an independent USGS catalog (orange and tan orbs, respectively), USArray station locations (olive cylinders), a high resolution bathymetry map of Lake Tahoe (rainbow colored surface), USA state boundaries (yellow lines), and images created by the Nevada Seismological Laboratory.
